My name is Christopher Maramba after completing my degree in Poland in International Business Management, I was offered an opportunity to work at ING Bank in Poland. While at the bank I identified an opportunity in the changing dynamics in the energy industry. Using my expertise gained while working at ING Bank I decided to set up Driss Energy Group and came back to Zimbabwe to spearhead the setting up of Driss Energy Group, where raw materials for renewable energy especially lithium is in abundance but also serious shortage of energy especially electricity supply across the Southern Africa region. This approach won me the support of two young engineers namely Arthur Mataure Jnr a Petroleum and Mechanical Engineer based in Mozambique and Tanaka Musiiwa an Industrial and Manufacturing Engineer based in Zimbabwe, the two have agreed to join me to promote the set-up of Driss Energy Group. The first step I was advised to set up Driss Energy Group LLC, in Delaware State, USA with a strategy of accessing global funding via listing on the New York Stock Exchange through acquisition of a SPAC, Driss Energy Group LLC is now registered in the USA. The next stage I came back to Zimbabwe to register Driss Energy Zimbabwe (Private) Limited as the pilot country for the project. Driss Energy Zimbabwe (Private) Limited is now registered in Zimbabwe. Being aware that youthful energy and enthusiasm cannot beat experience we are in the process of identifying an advisory team experienced in energy globally to guide and mentor us the Driss Energy young executives. This global team of advisors and mentors are helping us and will continue to help us into the future to identify various strategic partners across the whole energy industry value chain who will help us to build Driss Energy Group into a globally competitive energy company. In a nutshell that is how Driss Energy Group LLC was born.
